  1. dear cornell Says:

The vast majority of sexual assaults are committed by someone that the survivor knows. Try reading actual statistics instead of just what you remember from the news.

  2. y10 Says:

the yale headline has terrible subject-verb agreement.

  3. y10 Says:

i meant the ivygate headline, not the YDN headline, btw.

  4. CC '10 Says:

That Cornell article is the most pathetic piece of shit ever written…Morningside heights is the 2nd safest neighborhood in Manhattan behind the Upper east side. Most events occur away from campus or when people are just blatantly stupid. As for Penn, it’s west Philadelphia…enough said!

  5. Columbiatch Says:

Fuck you Cornell. You wish you could read with the best and roll with the worst. You wish you could trip on campus and land on a real street. You wish you could bellow at your environs and not only hear the mountains echo back your self-conscious solitude. You are crime-less because you are lifeless.

  6. Calm, please Says:

You need to relax, my friend. Perhaps your lack of campus is getting to you?

and you, it seems, need to trust that your posts will appear.

    latent abandonment issues maybe?

  14. i'll tell you Says:

who needs to calm down… you hit submit 7 times in 10 minutes!

  15. copy editor Says:

wait, can we go back to the subject-verb agreement in the yale headline? watching = subject, is = linking verb, problem = predicate? “how is watching not the problem” –> the subject and verb agree, right y’10?

  16. y'09 Says:

    subject: “watching”
    verb: “is”
    predicate: “problem”

How can “watching The Bachelor” be “The Bachelor’s … problem”?

One could say that “watching The Bachelor is the columnist’s problem” or “The show itself is The Bachelor’s most crippling problem” or “getting people to watch is The Bachelor’s problem.”

    Yeah, I fucked up.

  18. Cool-umbia '08 Says:

I like how the Cornell author calls Cornell a peer to Penn and Columbia. Laughable.

Almost as laughable as the phrase, “Cornell students are fortunate to be surrounded by more Blue Light phones than intimidating security guards with florescent vests.” We all know phones that call security guards prevent more crimes than actual security guards.
