Who the fuck takes cabs? I take cabs. In fact, many people take cabs. The subway is for homeless people.

No, Columbia, real New Yorkers take the Subway. Why? Because it’s cheap, safe and fast 24 hours a day.

Real New Yorkers don’t take cabs everywhere…you try taking the M60 back from Queens some night and tell me long you’re willing to wait for a bus; I gave up at thirty-five minutes. At some point you’re willing to give up the money to save the time or discomfort. If you think the subway or public transport is fast 24 hours a day, then we haven’t been living in the same city I’m afraid.
