Seems politically motivated to me, to placate the University’s liberal military-skeptic associates. Ironic considering the high enlistment rate of Princeton students during the two world wars.

Ironic, maybe, but not at all a revelation. HYP in general had a great tradition of military service until the 60s arrived. Princeton has maintained course in that regard far better than Harvard or Yale, even if it doesn’t support this program.

The sophomore at Harvard committed suicide. Harvard really needs to stop being vague about the cause of death.
