Dan, you’re a dipshit. Since when is criticizing religious extremists “racist?” That’s what I thought. Go back to middle school. You’re the exact reason that Islamofascism awareness talks are warranted.

@Xan: his argument extents far enough to implicate muslim student organizations in his delusional worldwide jihad fantasy. so yeah, pretty racist.

David Horowitz makes points?
I thought his whole shtick amounted to little more than claiming that the academe is nothing but a nefarious fifth column of Stalinists. He’s like the vestigial organ of the most bizarre form of out-dated Cold War overreactions. Some time ago, he must have realized that his only chance for a career was in dressing his former authoritarian leftism in the garb of authoritarian rightism and winning the praise (and job offers) of neoconservative educational “reformers” for his inauthentic change of heart.
In any case, the fact that Islamism exists (although perhaps Mr. Horowitz might consider ceasing to abuse the historical term ‘fascism’) is no excuse for holding an event that, as most people know, serves little more than as a vent for angry racists.
