You have challenged everyone else to prove who they are and how they know what they know, and for his part Yale08 has done a pretty convincing job of proving that 1) he is Akash’s friend, 2) he is a Yale student and 3) he could know Akash’s immigration status. And he really didn’t have to prove any of this, but he did. Meanwhile, you refuse to offer any evidence that you are not Victor or a friend of Victor – which is fine since this is an online forum designed to be anonymous – but then you should refrain from challenging other people to substantiate everything they say. I do not want to be complicit in distracting and obfuscating that issue, especially if that is the goal of the party who posted the SSN. So let us end this discussion here or return to that pressing concern immediately. Hopefully the authorities have been contacted and are looking into the matter of the SSN. If it indeed belonged to Akash, he would need a police report to go to the Social Security Office and have his number changed (which he should certainly do). My question was, how do we REALLY know he’s legal? Since it has been alleged (alleged, okay sure!) that OTHER things about him are fake, how can we truly know this is legitimate? And yes I was (and am) convinced that Victor and Akash (or friends of both) were posting here, and Yale08 has admitted to being a friend of Akash. And since he knows things that only a Yale student could know (and things that Akash would presumably not have access to anymore) I believe him that he is indeed a friend. This doesn’t mean I believe everything Akash has told him. Let me make that clear. I don’t know Akash or Victor and I don’t care to. They both sound like they need psychological help and they aren’t the kind of guys who would have sat at my table in the dining hall. And in some ways, by dodging the standards you set (with the question of the green card, or being part of Akash’s family, or Victor and the SSN posted online), you are coming across – at times – as the less logical and the less convincing party. I told you guys that Victor is not in the Official Yale Facebook this semester which means he may not be enrolled for classes. I also told you that Victor had readings of his stupid plays at Yale this semester — only a YALE STUDENT would know these things and have access to these things.
