Wow, that Brian Solomon kid must be pretty stupid. “The importance of life is greater than the right to bear arms.” No shit, idiot–life is the reason WHY the we right to bear arms. Virginia Tech WOULD HAVE been prevented if semi-automatic weapons were banned.
And no, it is neither stupid nor liberal to think that there might be a lot more people alive today if psychotic nutcases didn’t have access to machines that are ONLY BUILT to KILL PEOPLE. It’s smart and logical to think this. And it is human to want to do something to counteract it. The vast majority of the rest of the world has stricter gun laws than we do, the reason I know is because I’ve read statistics over and over again that say the shooting deaths of people in pretty much every single developed country add up to less than hours.
Anyone who rails against gun-control laws and uses the word “liberal” as an insult towards those who want there to be fewer weapons in the world deserves to be shot. And I mean it. That way maybe when they’re lying in a pool of their own blood with bullets in all their major organs, they’ll realize how much of their lives has just been stolen away by the gun-toting monster they just enabled.
