its a shame that the reverent swastika has been corrupted by teh nazi image. Its true that Hitler’s swastika was turned onto one of its arms, like a diamond, instead of the “square” orientation that this one on the tree is drawn. Sure, it is anti-semitic to openly herald a swastika, but this right-facing symbol placed on its side could also be an allusion to anceint buddhist and hindu practice. some smartass yalies probably know this and did it as a practical joke, masturbating his or her intellectual ego.

the swastika that appears in that photo is not a nazi swastika (which would have to be rotated 45 degrees clockwise), but rather an ancient religious symbol. so either y’all are idiots or the person who made it is doubly so.

why don’t the cowards who put the swastika on the tree come forward and claim responsibility? their act was that of cowards. acts of bigotry like these show that some yalies aren’t quite as open-minded and tolerant as may be thought.
