Celebuspawn Pre-Frosh Alert: Lorraine Nicholson
Sometimes famous people show up on our campuses. And that, friends, is why cellphone cameras exist.
Sighted at Brown University, 3:30PM yesterday: Jack Nicholson and celebuspawn daughter Lorraine, child actress, Miss Golden Globe 2007, major jailbait. A tipster who calls himself Andzdab (wtf, right? but he has good tips, so bear with us) reports,
I snapped these photographs of what appeared to be Jack Nicholson touring Brown U. with his daughter. I ran into them in the Keeney Quad and took this picture in Wriston Quad as they toured Wayland House. I saw a small crowd of neatly dressed individuals (him, daughter, tour guide, and maybe one or two others) and wondered who’s the special admissions-guaranteed prefrosh who was getting the personal tour.
Days before the the Brown sighting, LA-based Lorraine and Jack were in NYC (and wearing the same outfits they wore in Providence). Could this be a pan-East-Coast college tour? If so, then the Nicholsons appear to be headed north, which means Boston colleges should be on red alert for the budding celebutante and her screenstar dad. Andzdab — sadly unaware of Lorraine’s rapidly accelerating fame and/or hotness — failed to get little Miss Nicholson’s headshot, but did manage a close-up of Jack, after the jump.

We’re just trying to say that IvyGate should go where the story is. This time, just like lot of the time, that’s Columbia. Columbia has “The Bwog” which is the blog of the Blue and White (a campus magazine).
Blue and White –> B+W –> B + W + blog –> Bwog. You see?
Bwog is way better than Ivygate, and certainly better than anything at Brown or Dartmouth.

no publicity is bad publicity…sorry that people care about our school. columbia is an amazing school… princeton sucks, tiger…i mean c’mon, the school’s location makes it shitty by default (jersey??? Um, I believe it’s pretty recognized (by US News and Princeton Review, at least) that Penn>Columbia. I’ll never regret choosing Penn over Columbia.

Columbia is actually way overrated because of its location. It gets considerable publicity, which makes people biased, because it’s next door to the media, but most of the attention it gets is not worthy of notice.

“no says” is an idiot. columbia is hardly the theoretical “fake ivy” right now. what justifies that…the two nobel prize winning professors from last year or is it the record number of patents produced by the university, DUMBASS? Secondly, don’t affiliate Barnard with columbia and the ivy league. Bad press from controversial speakers does not warrant columbia as a lower ivy. that spot has always and will always be reserved for penn and cornell (at times, brown).
