A Video of Princeton Students Acting Like… Princeton Students

There's nothing quite like watching white people getting down, especially when it's a white person other than yourself. To set the scene: it's Princeton Lawnparties, and Ghostface Killah has sold his soul to appear. Some very white people are doing some very silly dancing.

A warning: you will never again feel true peace of mind rolling down your hood and blasting Dre's 2001. But it's worth it. We promise.

That just made my day… but let’s be honest, I doubt a lot of us are exactly the types to tear up the dance floor… Most people though have the common sense to dance like this in a dark room crowded by a bunch of sweaty people doing the same thing… that way no one notices…

  2. h '11 Says:

Even then, C’09, some people just know how to dance to this. Those people don’t.

I agree with the one who spoke at the end: “This is the whitest shit I’ve ever seen.”

  3. Columbia '09er Says:

Yeah, that’s pretty bad. But I’m sure most Ivy Leaguers would look just as bad. Getting the WASPs at Columbia to dance (or myself) would make for some pretty funny (or sad) YouTubing.

  4. Ezra Says:

As a white male nerd of Scandinavian and German extraction, I know what I’m talking about when I say this: That was some of the “whitest”, most un-funky dancing I’ve seen.

  5. iconcc'08ur Says:

You’re absolutely right…I’m still traumatized by the “dancing” I witnessed Orientation week, freshman year by fellow columbians. No amount of chlorox and a brillo pad to the brain will wipe those memories away.

Jacob Savage, you know perfectly well that clip is 2 years old.

    Early 80s @ Dartmouth

  9. Brown'11 Says:

I am sure you there is a video coming up about Brown Students..I can’t wait!

  10. hal parker Says:

nope, there’s not…..not unless someone sends us one at ivygate@gmail.com (please send us one)

  11. dmouth09 Says:

Oh my God! It’s Hal Parker! He’s talking to us!

  12. @Brown'11 Says:

You either meant “I am sure there is …” or “I assure you there is …”. If you really did get into (and reject) Harvard, I hope your essay was better than that.

  13. dmouth09 Says:

Wow, I bet that made you feel really smart.

  14. And the horse you rode in on Says:

What? Are you the love child of Keggy and Towelie? Rest assured that if you posted “This is why I rejected Harvard for Dartmouth”, I’d do likewise for you.

Not everyone wants to go to Harvard. But bragging about rejecting their offer when you’re barely familiar with your chosen school is ludicrous. Why even apply then?

  15. dmouth09 Says:

You’re being presumptuous; I’m not bragging about rejecting Harvard. In fact, I never even mentioned applying to Harvard (I was ED to Dartmouth). I also never gave any indication that I’m unfamiliar with my own school, so I don’t know what you are talking about. I’m flattered that I’m getting such attention though.

  16. @dmouth09 Says:

dmouth09, i think he/she meant that brown’11 had bragged about rejecting harvard

  17. dmouth09 Says:

Yeah, probably got confused…not a big deal.
