Confirmation: Yale Beta Theta Pi Chapter is Finito (UPDATE)
IvyGate has received e-mail confirmation from the Beta Theta Pi Foundation & Administrative Office that, indeed, the Yale chapter has been disbanded. More information will surface over the next few days.
Yes, confirmation, though the Foundation must not have a lot of experience with how a typical blog (or at least IvyGate) rolls:
Your tip is correct and Beta Theta Pi will be issuing a statement in the coming days. However, please remove your story and refrain from posting news of this event in lieu of notifying the appropriate parties. [emphasis theirs]
We appreciate your understanding that members learning of this decision from a web site is not our desired outcome.
If I were a Yale (ex-)Beta, I'd want the extra few days to find new housing, no?
UPDATE 3:00 p.m. Thursday: Beta plans to stick together despite disbandment, the Yale Daily News reports.

Bravo. The party that demands takedown always loses. We’ve been in the Internet-age for how long?

The Beta House isn’t owned by the national so it’s not really a big deal. Princeton, Dartmouth, and Columbia aren’t members of the national either.
