Hi, I’d Like to Return This Box?

OK, when we, a couple of dudes, are nauseated by a video with this much cleavage -- seriously, there's more plunging necklines than a Saddam execution remix -- you know it's bad. Not even the ample bosom of Penn soph Melissa Lamb can redeem the distaste we're starting to feel every time we see her box, the title character of that "Dick in a Box" spoof that momentarily entertained us last month.
Here's the rule for viral video sensations: go away. Enjoy your 15 minutes, and then recede to the obscurity from whence you uploaded onto YouTube. If your skills -- or, you know, ability to lip-sync about your genitals for five minutes -- land you a real TV appearance, mazel tov, you get to stay a little longer. But be real: you caught lightning in a bottle just that once. Enjoy it while it lasts, and then ... leave us. The long tail is a gentle slide home, not a liferope to cling to.
What we mean is, do not, under any circumstances, make this video, a joke (we hope) trailer for a Box in a Box movie. Knowing that B.i.a.B. is the handiwork of a team of four means you can't quite call it megalomania, but still, this (and the assiduously updated official site) makes us regret our initial fandom.

Better inane box Youtube videos than sex offender/murder suspect profs/child pornography news stories. Although making this video might have been poor taste, Penn could do with a little bit of publicity that doesn’t focus on criminal students and profs.

The trailer is excellent! In a time when even IvyGate has lost it’s sense of humor, one woman could make a difference…

There’s some quality news over at Dartmouth, it’s Winter Carnival, aka no classes, aka BIG ASS SNOW SCULPTURE!!! (Someone send some pics.)

more plunging necklines than saddam’s execution remix? really? tell me you guys didn’t contribute to the longevity of this meme solely so you could lay that bomb on us. and f.y.i., it’s generally regarded to be in poor taste when you use jay leno’s b-material to explain why something isn’t funny anymore.

that girl must have some huge labia to hold the box up.

You’re such a h8r, IvyGate! The overdubbed bits from pre-existing movies were a nice touch. And Dame Judi Dench - that’s just class all round.
(I acknowledge that Cornell 03’s comment was better)

I didn’t like the first box video. Liked the second. The thing about the second one is it made me laugh a couple times. I challenge anyone: scower this IvyGateBlog and find one sentence that actually makes them laugh. Even a little bit. IvyGateBlog is the very definition of megalomania. 2 guys in need of attention who are unfunny, unpopular and waste their time time writing about sandwiches and James Baker. Oooh! riveting! Great work boys!
This girl is satirizing megalomania. you guys actually live it.

Oh, c’mon. The people who made the box video clearly think they are hilarious. They’ve tried to squeeze every bit of publicity they possibly can out of their little satire, and are clearly quite smug about how much success their ‘wit’ has got them.
In response to Ali Howard: My friends and I still chuckle when we remember the headline ‘Creepy Orwellian Trance of Aleksey Vayner Fails to Generate Fun’. Yes, Vayner was a dead horse being beaten at that point, but still, that phrasing was quite funny to a few of us.
