“Box In A Box” Singer Unboxed!

Step one: Watch “Dick in a Box.”
Step two: Fall in love with the box.
Step three: Spoof it “Box in a Box.”
And that’s the way you do it. And how. Shown above, “Box in a Box,” the music video that reimagines Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg’s famous SNL sketch from the ladies’ perspective, is two minutes of coy genius. Sample lyrics:
Bush is ruining our country
But my bush has never lied
Taco Bell might make you sick
But my taco’s certified
“Box in a Box” has been viewed millions of times, featured on Countdown With Keith Olbermann on MSNBC, and given radio airplay coast to coast. But no one knows who’s been behind it — the bewitching performer goes only by “Bunny” on the official B.I.A.B. blog. In our first investigative journalism triumph of the semester (read: somebody emailed it to us), we can now reveal that Box in a Box is Melissa Lamb, a sophomore at Penn, pictured at right. Although Ms. Box-Lamb may be enjoying her Internet fame a little too much, veering into jump-the-box territory with the official “My Box in a Box Box,” for sale at CafePress.com for $15.99, we remain completely enamored of her. Anyone who can pull off the eyes-closed, super-concentrating, diva-tested hand motions while singing “It’s a beaaaaaaverrrrrrrrrr” is a keeper in our book.
